Dan is a traveller who from 2011-2013 lived in his 86' Subaru Powered VW Vanagon while traveling around North America, living simply, and always on the hunt for new trails, fly fishing streams, and surf spots. Dan did web design work for Patagonia remotely (he built the original Worn Wear), in the back of his van, while growing the Bedrock Sandals customer base and working on new outdoor sandal designs.
In January 2014, in pursuit of a new adventure, Dan traded in his VW van for a small boat in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved out the Bedrock Factory to Oakland, Ca. From September 2014 - January 2015 Dan was en route through the entire country of New Zealand by foot, bike, and canoe with Bedrock ambassador Naresh Kumar. In 2016, Dan was named one of the 30 Under 30 in the outdoor industry to watch. Follow Dan and his travels through his instagram account, @specialopz
